Application:

• Start with a video of your band performing 8 excerpts of 30 to 40 seconds from 8 different songs in various genres. The genres are: salsa, merengue, vallenato, bachata, reggaeton (urban), cumbia, bolero, and chachachá.
• You need to send us the band's brochure or dossier, describing both the group's and each member's experience. Make sure to include individual and group photos. Please note that the document must be in English.
• The CVs of each band member. Ensure that in the short time allotted for each song excerpt, the band can compellingly showcase their strengths.

Formats:

Latin trios or quartets should be composed as follows:

Trio: Voice, piano, and drums.

Quartet: Voice, piano, bass, and drums.

NOTE: Please be aware that multitracks or sequences must be added to these formats. Only in the case of quartets can these sound supports be omitted if the band does not need them.

PARTY BAND

A party band for cruises is a versatile and energetic musical group specialized in entertaining passengers with a wide repertoire of top 40 hits ranging from the 60s to the present. This band performs a dynamic mix of genres such as pop, rock, soul, R&B, funk, and more, ensuring a vibrant and memorable experience for audiences of all ages. With their ability to adapt to various styles and their electrifying stage presence, the party band creates a festive atmosphere perfect for any occasion on board the cruise.

Application:

• The video should not exceed 5-6 minutes, featuring the band performing between 6 and 7 excerpts of songs from the genres mentioned in the description.
• You need to send us the band's brochure or dossier, describing both the group's and each member's experience. Be sure to include individual and group photos. Please note that the document must be in English.
• The CVs of each band member in English.

NOTE: Singers must have perfect English pronunciation when singing, as the audience will always be English-speaking. We do not want companies to reject your proposal for not meeting this requirement.

Formats:

There are two types of formats for this position on the ships:

Quartet: Voice, guitar, bass, and drums (backing tracks if needed).

Sextet: 2 voices, guitar, keyboards, bass, and drums.

ORCHESTRA MUSICIANS

The profile of a musician suitable for this type of gig is very specific, as they must have excellent sight-reading skills, experience with in-ears, and mastery of genres such as jazz, pop, rock, funk, and Latin. Oh, and also! Be a good improviser on your instrument.

If you are a pianist, you should be prepared to not only skillfully handle sounds on synthesizers and other keyboards but also be able to perform solo sets or accompany singers on acoustic pianos.

If your instrument is the tenor or alto saxophone, you must also be able to play the flute and clarinet. Don't forget to pack them in your luggage!

For bassists, if you can play both the electric bass and double bass, even better! You will have more chances of getting a contract, as some ships require double bass players.

If you are a trumpeter and have a high register, your best option is to apply for the lead trumpet position. However, if you can't hit those high notes and are a good improviser, the second trumpet position is your path.

Application:

• Start with a video reel of about 3 to 4 minutes that clearly demonstrates your high skill level with your instrument and your versatility across various genres, with a strong emphasis on your level of improvisation and jazz performance.
• CV in English.
• Sight-reading audition conducted as follows: The date will be scheduled, and you must be ready to record audio and video. We will send you 3 sheet music pieces, and you will have 30 minutes to send us back the video performing the provided music.

You need to delight passengers with your talent and charisma. Your set must be a unique experience at sea, where your music becomes an essential part of the magic of the journey.

VARIETY DUO:

It's a dynamic and versatile musical duo specializing in performing a repertoire that spans the top 40 of pop and rock. With their talent and charisma, this duo offers live performances that capture the essence of contemporary and classic hits, providing vibrant and high-quality entertainment for passengers. Their ability to adapt to different styles and connect with the audience ensures an unforgettable and energetic musical experience at every performance on board the cruise.

Format: Singer (preferably instrumentalist), guitarist (backup vocalist), and backing tracks.

STOWAWAY PIANIST:

This is a "Chaplin-esque" character who is an extraordinary pianist and comedian. Eccentric, he constantly interacts with the crowd to ensure they are on his side! He loves taking photographs and being visible in remote places around the ship. A master of disguise, he appears in different costumes throughout the cruise to help conceal his identity!

Characteristics: Genuine, empathetic, comedic, playful, mischievous, intelligent.

Some of the skills required for the position include:

• High level of piano proficiency (formal education preferred).
• Fun, outgoing personality and comfort in interacting with guests.
• High energy.
• Wide variety of repertoire, including: jazz, classical, movie soundtracks, Disney songs, pop, rock, etc.
• Ability to sing.
• Experience in acting/theater is an advantage.
